A 12-year-old boy tragically committed suicide by hanging in Amaoti, KZN, yesterday afternoon (Sunday).
Authorities were dispatched to the property at approximately 19:18 after the boy’s mother made the heartbreaking discovery.
It was determined that the minor had been playing with friends when he informed them that he was heading home to take a bath.

Upon arriving at the residence, his mother found her son hanging by an electrical cord tied to a rafter.
She immediately cut the cord and placed him on the ground, attempting to resuscitate him, but he showed no signs of life.
The circumstances surrounding the suicide have not yet been established.
