This decisive operation stemmed from reliable intelligence that the vehicle had been reported stolen at the Mall of Africa in Midrand, Gauteng, the previous week.
It was believed that the stolen vehicle was on its way to be smuggled into Zimbabwe via the Plumtree border post.
The individual is now facing charges for possession of stolen property and is scheduled for a court appearance at the Mokerong Magistrate’s Court on the 26th of March, 2024.
Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, the Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo, has praised the team for their alertness and ongoing efforts to prevent vehicle theft and smuggling.
