A distressing event unfolded in Missionlands, KZN, where a 32-year-old taxi driver sustained severe injuries following a gunshot wound to the head.
The incident took place on Estuary Drive on Wednesday afternoon.
Upon their arrival at the scene around 19:19, law enforcement officers found the victim in a grave condition, bleeding profusely from his head wound.
The taxi driver recounted his harrowing experience, stating he was on his way back to his employer’s house in a white Toyota Quantum.
His journey was interrupted when a white Toyota Corolla, with its registration number undisclosed, obstructed his route.
In a desperate attempt to escape, the victim tried to reverse the vehicle, but was thwarted when a perpetrator fired a bullet.
The shot shattered the windscreen (as shown in picture) and hit him in the head.
Following the impact, the mini-bus swerved off the road, ending up in thick bushes. The assailants then fled the scene in an undetermined direction.
Authorities are yet to determine the motive behind this violent attack.
