Katlehong – June 7, 2024: In a heart-wrenching plea for justice, Philisiwe Dzai, Zodwa Mbangula, Yamkela Mvunyiswa, and Snentlantla Tyeku appeared in court today seeking answers and justice for the brutal murder of their brother, Zakhele Dlamini.
The tragic incident occurred in the Mnisi Section of Katlehong. According to eyewitness reports, Zakhele Dlamini intervened in a domestic dispute between a couple, attempting to mediate and prevent further conflict.
The alleged perpetrator, whose identity has been withheld for legal reasons, confronted Dlamini, questioning his involvement before shooting him twice.
Despite desperate pleas from witnesses to open the door and provide aid, the suspect refused, leaving Dlamini to succumb to his injuries.
The suspect was subsequently apprehended and is now facing serious charges. The family’s appearance in court today marks the beginning of their pursuit for justice, as they demand accountability and closure for the untimely death of their loved one.

“We are devastated by Zakhele’s death,” said Philisiwe Dzai.
