Yesterday morning, on Sunday, May 5th, tragedy struck in the heart of Folweni as a male individual was found dead near the Insimbini robot opposite Ensimbini Lifestyle (kwakonka), just a stone’s throw away from the Folweni South African Police Service (SAPS) station.
The victim has been identified as Sbonelo Mkhize, a 35-year-old forklift driver employed at Volvo Trucks near the Galleria Shopping Mall in Southgate.
He resided in the Folweni (A) Section
Details surrounding Mkhize’s death remain shrouded in mystery as authorities have yet to disclose the circumstances leading to his demise.
However, it has been confirmed by local sources that Mkhize’s family received the devastating news today, unaware of his whereabouts since yesterday morning.

Born on March 23, 1989, Mkhize was a native of Folweni, having attended Folweni High School, according to his Facebook profile.
