Authorities received a call for assistance from a farmer in Canelands, KwaZulu-Natal who reported seeing a pair of human legs protruding from a bush while patrolling his farm.
The partially naked body of a female was found dumped on a farm in Canelands, this evening.
Officers arrived on the scene at 22:23 on Tuesday, 16 July 2024, and discovered the body of a female lying off a dirt road.
Upon closer inspection, they found that she was lying face up with her hands bound.

She was wearing a short black night dress and brightly colored wig/hair extensions.
Her body was partly wrapped in blankets, and she had suffered bodily injuries.
It was also determined that she had been raped. Further sensitive details are being withheld.
The identity of the victim has not yet been established, and investigations are ongoing.
