Durban, South Africa – Tragic news has emerged about the shooting and serious injury of Advocate Coreth Naude, a SARS attorney, who was reportedly investigating tax matters related to Shaun Mkhize’s company, the owner of Royal AM.
The incident occurred when the attorney was leaving her office in Mhlanga, Durban.
The assailants, who were traveling in a white Toyota Corolla, are believed to have ambushed her before shooting her in her car.
Advocate Naude’s car was left riddled with bullet holes, and she was seriously injured and rushed to the hospital for urgent medical care.

According to News24, Advocate Naude was the person in charge of investigating tax violations related to Shaun Mkhize’s company.
It is still unclear if this incident is directly related to her investigative work, as SARS has not yet found conclusive evidence linking the attack to her professional duties.
Shaun Mkhize, a well-known businesswoman and owner of Royal AM, was previously reported to owe SARS R37 million.
Advocate Naude’s investigation was part of efforts to scrutinize these tax claims.
SARS expressed deep sorrow over the attack, particularly because it targeted someone working to ensure the proper functioning of their operations.
They emphasized the importance of Advocate Naude’s work and called for a thorough police investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.

“The police must conduct a full investigation into this attack, but we will not let this deter us from our duty to ensure that everyone respects tax laws,” said a SARS statement.
