Suspect in Possession of Stolen Property Arrested in Amanzimtoti, KZN

Amanzimtoti, South Africa – In a swift and coordinated operation, a suspect was apprehended for possession of stolen property following a burglary on Fynn Road.

Responders from the Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO), ET Rapid Response, and Blue Security – Durban collaborated to ensure the recovery of stolen items and the arrest of the perpetrator.

The incident began when a report was filed regarding a break-in at a property on Fynn Road, Amanzimtoti.

The stolen items included two laptops and a wallet. Acting on the information, the security teams quickly mobilized and proceeded to the suspect’s residence.

Upon arrival at the suspect’s residence, the security teams were met with cooperation.

The suspect handed over one laptop and the stolen wallet. Further interrogation led the suspect to confess that he had sold the second laptop to another individual.

He guided the team to this location, resulting in the recovery of both stolen laptops.

Following the recovery of the stolen property, the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Amanzimtoti South African Police Service (SAPS) station for processing.

During the processing, it was discovered that the suspect had an outstanding warrant of arrest for a separate case. This revelation added to the charges against him.

The quick response and collaboration between CCPO, ET Rapid Response, and Blue Security – Durban have been lauded by the community.

Residents expressed relief and gratitude for the effective action taken to address the burglary and apprehend the suspect.
