A tragic incident unfolded this morning in Mawothi, KwaZulu-Natal, as a 29-year-old man was fatally shot outside his residence on Sipho Siwela Road.
The incident, which took place on Monday, has left the community in shock.
According to reports, a concerned resident contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at approximately 08:46, urgently requesting assistance at the scene.

Upon their arrival, Reaction Officers and RUSA Paramedics were met by members of the South African Police Service (SAPS), who were already on site.
The victim, a local taxi driver, was found lying in a prone position just outside his home.
He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was tragically declared dead at the scene.
Initial investigations revealed that the victim was approached by three men while standing outside his house.

The suspects, who were armed, opened fire on the man before fleeing the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
