Two Men Found Deceased in Roadside Accident on N3 Highway, Free State

On the N3 highway in Free State, bodies of two unidentified men were discovered early on the morning of April 19, 2024.

Authorities reported that a black Citroen sedan, bearing a GP registration and parked in the middle of the highway, was struck by a truck around 4:30 AM, leading to the immediate deaths of both individuals.

According to police, the truck was attempting to overtake another slow-moving truck on the southbound lane when it collided with the stationary sedan.

The impact was severe enough to eject the car from the roadway, causing it to land in a nearby ditch.

Officials have launched a culpable homicide investigation to determine the specifics of the crash, including why the Citroen was stationary on the highway at the time of the accident.
