Authorities Investigate Fatal Shooting Near Flamingo Heights
Last night (Tuesday), a tragic incident unfolded near Flamingo Heights in Tongaat, KZN, as a woman was shot and killed while returning from her boyfriend’s home.
The incident occurred at approximately 22:46, when authorities received a call for assistance from a concerned member of the public.
Upon arrival, Reaction Officers discovered the Tongaat SAPS already on the scene. According to local residents, they heard three gunshots and soon after found the lifeless body of the woman on a nearby footpath.

Preliminary information suggests that she was on her way home to Rajkumars after visiting her boyfriend.
A witness reported seeing the boyfriend approach the woman on the pathway shortly after she left his residence. It was then that the three shots were fired, resulting in her death.
Authorities, including Reaction Officers and SAPS officials, immediately proceeded to the boyfriend’s residence, which was a short distance away.
They questioned him regarding the murder, but he denied owning a firearm or having any knowledge of the incident. Subsequently, he was transported to the Tongaat SAPS for further questioning.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. This tragic event has shocked the local community, and residents are calling for justice for the victim.
